All Change

Looking through photos is a good way of noticing all the changes in Whitstable. The Oxford Bingo Club is now Wetherspoons,‘the Whitstable Galleries have gone and Sundae Sundae’ is now ‘Conway and Sons’.‘ Vita’ stores was ‘Cupcake’ and is now empty.‘Duma’ recently closed ‘and Danu’ clothes shop have just moved in. ‘The Pearl Shop’ is next door to it where ‘Flory and Black’ used to be. The old Prezzo building is still up for rent. Caxton Contemporary is now ‘Kathinka’. ‘Harry and co’ is ‘Birdies’ and Frenchie’s vintage shop changed hands.‘The Novelist’ is now a Lettings and Rentals office. Furley Page solicitors have moved to Estuary View and ‘Company B’ is a Nail Salon.

Seagulls & Flamingos has closed, but a new business is setting up in there. ‘She Who Shops’ is now ‘SHORE’ selling colourful handbags and a few clothes. VC Jones fish and chip shop closed a few months ago when the owners retired. Revival moved into ‘Woolley’s Menswear shop and their old café is now ‘Castellum Pizzeria’. ‘Sachaz’ is now ‘fuschia green’ and sells lovely plants and pots. ‘Peekaboo’ children’s clothes shop is being converted into ‘the woodfire kitchen’ and has a notice on the door saying it will be opening soon.
