Beauty in the Woods

The last month has been a colourful time for walking in the woods. Friends suggest different places to explore as the seasons change. On our walk near Doddington a few weeks ago carpets of bluebells were on display. This week our late afternoon trek was up from Sheldwich Church. The smell of wild garlic in forested areas was worth the uphill climb!
The ‘Canopy Event’ in Clowe’s Wood yesterday was a surprising treat – with art and the environment coming together. ‘Canopy’ is a Grass Ceiling production, a Community Interest Company run by Harriet Simms who originated and organised the project. It was a wonderful creative event with support from production team members Serena Cross, Sadie Hennessy, Jo Frost, Jane Atkinson and Kate Bullivant.
