Experiments with Colour

On a recent day out in London, I spent time wandering the streets from Kings Cross to The Photographers Gallery where I had a few hours looking at the black and white documentary photographs in Tish Murtha’s Works 1976-1991 and Alex Prager’s photographs and films. With her large- scale technicolour images and world of art, fashion photography and film, Prager was influenced by Diane Arbus and Cindy Sherman in creating a darker side to her on the surface glossy works. I decided to try experimenting with processing the photos I took during my visit in darker, film- like tones. These are the results.
