Popular Photocards

It’s that time of year again when I start thinking about photo cards to make and framed photos to exhibit at our Monument Photography group exhibition at Whitstable Museum Gallery in September. I make my cards with favourite images taken on my travels. Friends support me by buying cards, which is always much appreciated and helps in covering costs.

Occasionally someone buys a large, framed photograph. I sold one of the old Oxford Bingo Club, now Wetherspoons, to a woman who saw it in the gallery window and bought it for her father’s 80th birthday, as he had worked there in the past. Last year a neighbour bought my black and white photo of a young policeman kindly treating an abusive drunk man who was shouting obscenities at an anti racist demonstration in South London, which I was documenting for a friend.
