Shot By Women Image Library

A few months ago I watched an online Alamy Stock Photography  presentation. The Library has 250 million images, but only a few women submit work. I saw an advert for the new Shot By Women Image Library and listened to an Instagram talk by the founder Tabatha, Lucy who is in charge of Image Licensing and Mimi who deals with contributor queries, submissions and platform questions. Rather than have hundreds of photos sitting on my computer and hard drives, I got organised and became a contributor which meant having to submit a minimum of 50 images in 60 days in order to sign up!

Shot by Women Image library launched on International Women’s Day on the 8th March 2022. So far I have submitted 364 images. A mammoth task of organisation and captioning!  The link to my work is at https://www.shotbywomen.com/@gerryatkinson
